“Serving Christ in Those in Need, with Love, Respect, Justice, and Joy”
-Frédéric Ozanam
Frédéric OzanamThe Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is an international lay Catholic organization whose mission is to live the Gospel by serving Christ present in people who are vulnerable or in need, with love, respect, justice, and joy.
Inspired by its founder, Frédéric Ozanam, who began this work in 1833, the Society continues today through small local groups committed to simple, practical service.
Partners and friends
Our mission is to offer concrete, close-at-hand support to our neighbours in the Bow Valley: we provide emergency assistance, carry out monthly grocery shopping and deliveries, and make grocery, gas, and restaurant cards available through local schools, health centres, and parishes. We also collect and distribute food donated at the parish, working with food banks and healthcare professionals to accompany, with dignity, those who need a little extra support.
